March Release Countdown Teasers Day 1

After taking a back seat with Clearly Besotted for a while, I thought it was time to pull my socks up and provide Jenny with more support.  We have decided to revert back to small monthly releases and are bringing back our countdown teasers :)  I have so much to cover in this blog post, I hardly know where to begin, but here goes...

I have some very sad news to start with and that is, the wonderful, magnificent, stupendously talented Debby Hughes has made the decision to step down from the Design Team.  Debby has been with us from the start and played a huge part in any success that has come our way, it is an understatement to say that she will be sorely missed.  All that's left to say is that she has my eternal gratitude and friendship.

Design Team members LucyAmy and Mandy are absolutely flourishing in their professional and private lives and although this means that sadly, their design team commitments have to take a back seat, I couldn't be happier for them :)  I am still holding onto them for dear life (lol) so until they tell me otherwise, I am keeping the door wide open for their return :)

Now onto much happier news!  I am positively giddy to announce a new addition to our small (but perfectly formed lol) team.  Approaching anyone of this high calibre is always a nerve-racking experience, so when this lady said yes, I was a little dumbstruck as well as utterly delighted.  Without any further delay, I would like to introduce our newest Design Team member, the super sweet and ridiculously talented...Lisa Tilson!!!! (My Card Trip) *insert fanfare here*  I am just over the moon, humbled and grateful to have Lisa lend her talents to Clearly Besotted :)  Here's a little more about this lovely lady, in her own words....

"Hi, I'm Lisa, I live in Surrey in the UK with my partner Paul and I have been making cards for about 4 years now.

Before that I dabbled in cardmaking with a few kits but then I discovered Kristina Werner on YouTube and she opened my eyes to a whole other expensive cardmaking world that involved dies and machines and stamp positioners!  Since then I have taken lots of classes and I love to learn new techniques.

I started blogging a few years ago and then making YouTube tutorials just over a year ago, so I am still learning how to perfect those - they are not for the feint hearted! Outside of cardmaking I love to read, my goal is 25 books this year and I am failing miserably so far!

I am so very excited to be joining Clearly Besotted and all the other lovely ladies on the team, it's a dream come true to be asked to create cards with their fabulous products and I am looking forward to seeing what you are creating with them too. Happy crafting!"

Speaking of extraordinarily high calibre crafters, I would like to take this opportunity to re-introduce you to our beloved Design Team members Michelle Short and Keren Baker.  Clearly Besotted could not be luckier to have these two remarkable ladies on board, it is quite astonishing that a small and obscure brand such as ours could retain such talent...it's truly humbling!

"I’m privileged to work part time from home in the craft industry. When I’m not creating, I try to look after my family (husband, 5 kids, and a gorgeous cat!).

I love Clearly Besotted’s stamps as there is so much you can do with them and the cute ones are perfect for a myriad of scenes!

This year I want to learn to crochet and am trying to build up a collection of vegan recipes to cook for my daughters."

"Hello there, I’m Michelle. I’m a part-time staff nurse, part time crafter from London. I have been crafting for over 12 years and my style is very much clean and simple.

I am both honoured and delighted that I have been on the Clearly Besotted Design Team since the beginning (Stephanie cannot get rid of me that easily! ðŸ˜‰) and I continue to love working working with their fabulous products."

I'm not quite done yet so please don't leave!  I have more happy news (yay!), the super creative and super lovely Rubeena (A Rare Ruby Crafts) with be joining us as a Guest Designer for the months of March and April, I am so excited to have her on board! :)  Here's more about the gorgeous Rubeena, again, in her own words...

"Hi, I’m Rubeena from A Rare Ruby Crafts. I live in NJ with my husband Steven and our two six-month old cats, Jack and Smudge. I have been papercrafting on and off since 2014, and I love being able to express myself through what I create.

My style continues to develop as I learn new things and am inspired by other artists and creative people. I love to play with cute critter stamps, florals, and all kinds of sentiments that uplift! When I’m not making cards, I like to explore watercoloring, acrylic painting, alcohol ink art, making bead bracelets and other jewelry, DIY home decor projects, and, of course, spending time with family and my cats.

Professionally, I am a licensed social worker who likes to help other people learn and grow as well. I feel incredibly blessed, and I love to share with others!"

I hope you enjoyed getting to know all these ladies a little bit, I know I certainly did!  Now onto business *groan* lol  Our monthly releases will be available in our store and at Simon Says Stamp on the first of every month, going live at 8pm UK time.  Countdown teasers start four days prior to the first of the month, so to kick things off this month, here are my teasers for today...
