It's Looking a Lot Like Christmas

New Craft Room

I'm not sure if anyone is still checking in on this blog, I could very well be talking to myself right now haha!

I mentioned back in November that we were moving house and believe it or not, up until March of this year, all of my craft supplies were still in boxes...well, in one big box, I don't actually have that much stuff *sob* haha!  To motivate myself to unpack my one box of craft supplies (tee hee!), I decided to finally treat myself to a craft room...I've always primarily crafted at the kitchen table, so it was a case of starting from scratch.

The room is now complete and I hope you don't mind me sharing a few pictures of it, it's not a particularly big room but it's all mine...

The glass partitions are great because I don't feel completely shut off from the rest of the house, however, there are blinds integrated within the glass for when I do want to shut everything and everyone out lol...

The white units are from IKEA (I've seen them in most of my favourite craft rooms), they are very budget friendly...

I have a lovely view of the garden from my window...

A couple of very tongue in cheek phrases and a gentle reminder not to take myself (and my everyday challenges) too seriously ;)...

Finally, here's what the room normally looks like, when it hasn't been staged for photographs haha ;)  As you can see, I pull everything out from the drawers and place them within easy reach...

To those of you after an update on the re-opening of the Clearly Besotted store, I apologise for the complete lack of communication.  As previously advised, Jenny (my sister) is taking over and it's taken a while to get her moved from my parents house, to one nearby me...well, nearby my children's school, I live in the middle of nowhere!  This means she can run the business from her home, but I can conveniently pop by and help out if needed :)  At the moment, Jenny has no internet access, but as soon as it is connected, the store will re-open...I am reluctant to give a precise date because British Telecom have previously given us two dates and they both fell through *groan*  It's a brand new property on a new development hence the complications.

Christmas Is Coming

I've gone for an unconventional colour scheme which is probably not to everyone's taste, but I'm hoping Santa will bring me lots of little turquoise and white boxes to match ;) haha!

My preparations are almost finished, just the presents to wrap tonight and then I hand the reins over to Dean who's responsible for everything else :D  I hope you're having a fabulous weekend and not finding last minute Christmas preparations too stressful!

AWOL in Florida

It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas

I am a bit of a minimalist and I hate clutter so I don't go overboard with the decorations...

Dean isn't very impressed with my efforts, if he had his way the house would be covered from top to bottom in tinsel and lights!  I'm wrapping presents tonight which mean's no sleep, but a lot of coffee for me!  I hope you have a fabulous weekend :D

A Lovely Weekend

Dean suggested I forget about my 'stamping thingy' (his words, as supportive as he is, Dean doesn't take my little business very seriously haha!) this weekend so on Saturday we all went to Pizza Express for lunch before watching Epic at the Cinema, followed by bowling and dinner at Prezzo's.  Today we drove into London and became tourists for the day, we had Dim Sum in China Town, visited all the main attractions, did a spot of window shopping in Bond Street and treated the children in Hamleys Toy Shop before returning to China Town for dinner.

It really is the simple things in life that bring the most joy (like ice-cream!).  I'm not going to lie though, I'm itching to get back to my 'stamping thingy' ;)  I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend too :)

Moving House

We've been in our new home for just over a week but there's still so much to do which means I will be absent from blogland for a little while longer.

I hope to fit in some craft time soon but I am sure that you all agree, family and home life should always come first and right now I need to concentrate on ensuring Christmas actually takes place this year ;) haha!
