New Craft Room

I'm not sure if anyone is still checking in on this blog, I could very well be talking to myself right now haha!

I mentioned back in November that we were moving house and believe it or not, up until March of this year, all of my craft supplies were still in boxes...well, in one big box, I don't actually have that much stuff *sob* haha!  To motivate myself to unpack my one box of craft supplies (tee hee!), I decided to finally treat myself to a craft room...I've always primarily crafted at the kitchen table, so it was a case of starting from scratch.

The room is now complete and I hope you don't mind me sharing a few pictures of it, it's not a particularly big room but it's all mine...

The glass partitions are great because I don't feel completely shut off from the rest of the house, however, there are blinds integrated within the glass for when I do want to shut everything and everyone out lol...

The white units are from IKEA (I've seen them in most of my favourite craft rooms), they are very budget friendly...

All white units are from IKEA 'Alex Range' / Bespoke wooden work surfaces

I have a lovely view of the garden from my window...

A couple of very tongue in cheek phrases and a gentle reminder not to take myself (and my everyday challenges) too seriously ;)...

An example of the different containers I've used in the drawers to compartmentalise...

Small white containers from IKEA 'Tillsluta Range' / Translucent marker containers from Muji

Finally, here's what the room normally looks like, when it hasn't been staged for photographs haha ;)  As you can see, I pull everything out from the drawers and place them within easy reach...

To those of you after an update on the re-opening of the Clearly Besotted store, I apologise for the complete lack of communication.  As previously advised, Jenny (my sister) is taking over and it's taken a while to get her moved from my parents house, to one nearby me...well, nearby my children's school, I live in the middle of nowhere!  This means she can run the business from her home, but I can conveniently pop by and help out if needed :)  At the moment, Jenny has no internet access, but as soon as it is connected, the store will re-open...I am reluctant to give a precise date because British Telecom have previously given us two dates and they both fell through *groan*  It's a brand new property on a new development hence the complications.

Anyway, thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic week!

Stephanie xxx

What a beautiful room, everything is so smart and well organised. You obviously have a very tidy mind! I can't wait for the shop to reopen, but it must be so frustrating for Jenny at the moment. There's absolutely nothing you can do when you are in the hands of these service providers except to keep your fingers crossed. Let's hope it won't be for much longer.
All the best to you both, love from Judy xx

Love your new craft room, and to me it looks better with your supplies out (more homely then display and unpersonal)!

Your craft room looks just great, Stephanie. Will have to check out those bins for my Alex drawers. That's the problem if you only have a small IKEA showroom/store near you (Crete, Greece), where you can only see a few products on display. Still, it's better than no store at all, which was the case only a few years ago. Happy crafting!

The walls are amazing!!!!! It reminds me of a bed and breakfast we stayed in when we were in England. It was many hundreds of years old, and the ceiling in the living room was only about 5'9" high. You are one lucky duck to have such a cool house. AND out in the country!!!!! I hope that you will be posting more photos of your new house and gorgeous, HUGE garden. I can live through you....I live in Orange County, California. We have gorgeous weather, but it's not pretty.

Looks great! Very light and airy with the wood and white. I too am trying to get a craftroom in my home. Actually I am reclaiming it. It was mine, then we had a baby and I ended up in the dining room, Baby is 6 years now so he's in a different room and now I get the room back, but it needs paint (still has baby colors) and furniture 'cause I barely had the chance to do that before he arrived! Anyways enough about me, congrats on you new room!!!

absolutely beautiful craft room! And such a lovely view out the window!

Good to see you back and with such a beautiful room to work/play in too.

So lovely to see your new craft room and a reminder to me that you don't need mountains of stuff to create the beautiful cards you do. I'm desperately trying to get rid of loads of stuff out of mine and its quite therapeutic. I needed to make more room for my clearly besotted collection. (Obviously) I keep checking your blog in the hope I'll see more of your crafty creations and now your craft room is up and running hopefully we will.

Lots of love
