Wedding Invitations

A few months a go I came up with some sample wedding invitation designs for my brother & his fiancĂ©e - this is the design they decided upon....

Here are a few of the 150 I've made....

I've decided the world of wedding stationery isn't for me - it's far too tedious & I still have 300 favour boxes to assemble :|  I do need something to occupy my time though so I guess it's back to the drawing board! x

Beautiful design Stephanie but understand what you mean about it being tedious. I'm not keen on making the same design over and over. Keep at it, won't be long till you're finished. Hugs x

Beautiful Steph and my goodness what a production line you must have going on...

Clearly it's going to be a huge wedding....

So elegant - love that ruby colour. And the font is beautiful too. But yes, making hundreds of the same thing is not what excites and satisfies a crafter's hands - as I've learned in the past! What about opening a Folksy shop Steph and selling your gorgeous cards. You can do just a much as you want to and as only 5 of each design is allowed you'd never get bored. I have a feeling your followers would jump at the chance to have a "Steph original" to admire! :o)

These are beautiful Steph but I hear what you say about the tediousness of making the same design over and over. I was recently commissioned to do some wedding invitations and I was sooooo relieved when I'd finished - satisfying to see them all there though looking wonderful!!

Hey Steph, these are stunning!

I know how much work goes into these. If it just stopped at the invites that would be one thing but there is loads more - Favour Boxes, table plan, place cards, blah blah! I am still working on my nieces stuff, invites are out but now its the menus/name place cards and the table plan I am working on.

I know what you mean about tedious BUT what I really enjoy is knowing that they LOVED it and it does make a great impression when they are received by the guests. I am sure your brother and his wife-to-be are truly trilled with all the effort you've made and they are gorgeous. Don't be surprised if you get asked to do more - you're too good at it!

Take care
Zoe xx

These are absolutely gorgeous. They must have taken forever, but what an act of love. I am not much for mass production--my attention span is too short!

Gorgeous invitations Steph, I love the colour and the font is beautiful. I know what you mean about the wedding stationary though - I made all of it for my brothers wedding and then the invitations, place cards etc for my cousin's wedding too, very time consuming!! Xx

Absolutely beautiful. Yes, tedious, but I'm sure it will be worth it once it's all done.

They are beautiful Steph. Simple but very elegant. But then again it must have taken you ages to make all the bows.

Hi Steph - the invites are just beautiful. Good luck with all the favour boxes and whatever else you need to make.
It was creating the invites for my brother's wedding that got me into cardmaking - I didn't have to make as many as you though, and it stopped at the invites!
Love, Andrea xx

Lovely design hun, its a labour of love. I did a few wedding orders last year and you have to have a lot of patience and like doing repetitive work.

Hi Steph

These are absolutely stunning!! I bet your brother and his fiancee are over the moon with them! Well done you for doing so many, I think I'd run a mile in the other direction with an order that large! I know where you are coming from, it is so time consuming and tedious! I am doing smaller orders these days and trying to work on other things that are not quite so tedious. I find the stationery quite stressful when you are working to tight dealines etc too! This is one of the reasons I like the vintsge wedding niche as it suits me better.

I'm sure your favour boxes will be beautiful too.
