Countdown to Christmas

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas to me & I'm getting giddy at the thought!

Supplies: Stamps - Sugar Nellie; Papertrey Ink / Designer Paper - Stampin' Up! / Tools - Martha Stewart Edge Punch / Other - Copic Sketch Markers

I can't cook (& Dean won't), last year we took the extended family to a restaurant for Christmas lunch & this year we're investigating caterers who deliver Christmas lunch on the day, has anyone tried this? x

Oh, this card is super super cute! I can't tell you how much i LOVE IT :) I wish I was the first comment, these images are adorable.
I don't know about where you live but I know people who have had Christmas dinner catered at home so you should definitly be able to do it. I am a bit of a freak in that I actually enjoy all that stuff about christmas, but I organise it so far ahead of time it's not really stressful, like I said, I'm nuts :)

This is a beautiful Christmas card Steph. Great detail and a very cute image.
I never do roasts so the thought of cooking a Christmas dinner brings me out in hot sweats, me and hubby just have snacks all day long on Christmas Day and enjoy rebelling against convention! The main thing is to enjoy your day whatever you do.
Hugs, Clare x

Ah this is so sweet Steph, your colour schemes are always great. Your Xmas catering idea sounds great too! Hope you find someone in time.
I'm really enjoying my papertrey inc stamps at the moment. I'm finding funky ways to use them for all occassions as I only bought the sentiments/borders sets. I think I may have to order again ;)

Hi Steph

Why not organise your own food Steph, there are some wonderful things in M&S that are easy to cook even if you are not a cook. You could have a practice run to make sure you are happy with everything. I think caterers will be very expensive for Xmas Day. You could also stray from the traditional turkey dinner and have something completely different that you can cook. Xmas pudding isn't a problem - microwave for a couple of minutes and you can even get brandy sauce or custard pre done. Come to me for some cooking lessons girly - I love cooking and it's a piece of cake if you pardon the pun (HA)

Vegetables - all go in the veg steamer for about 20 minutes, meat is cooked per kilo or per pound, roast potatoes - easy but you can buy them pre done same as yorkshire pudding (Aunt Bessie).

Doesn't need to take hours honest Hon

Hi Stephanie I have heard of dinners to your door but I think most of the ones I am thinking of are USA! I guess you could do a local search? I did look but as I said the ones I found are USA so you would be paying for shipping and also still have to cook it I guess?....... If I lived closer I would come do it for you I am an ex chef so would not be any trouble! But alass I am in Cumbria a little far for popping over! TUT! shame! would have been fun!

Love your card beautiful as aways!
missed the first boat again! doh!
:0) have a great day and happy dinner hunting and crafting! :0)

Morning Steph this is one cutie this morning. Fabulous papers and gorgeous image. I can't cook either lol so we just go to my MIL lol or go out. Hope find somewhere that will do it.

Net said...

Pity you weren't nearer to me - you could come here for lunch!

Caterers for Christmas lunch? Wow! That could buy you a LOT of stash lol

I'd suggest Waitrose or M and S - that's like cooking by numbers or re-heating!

Since last year I sent/gave out 40 personal chrissy cards and then sent out 69 as thanks/chrissy cards for patients who so kindly gave me a christmas gift.....I've already made 13 cards.....and Christmas is still 7 weeks away. :) I seriously won't be making all of them as we are now in our busiest time of year for appointments, etc.....but I'll give it a decent crack. :)

Love you card....image is coloured perfectly (of course) and so festive without being OVER THE TOP.

Good luck with organising the food for your Christmas lunch. :)

Oh Steph I too get giddy at the thought of Christmas, glad it's not just me lol! Wouldn't it be great to have someone deliver everything Christmas Day...we go the in-laws! You probably know already but M&S do food to order but it's fully prepared and you just throw in the oven/microwave...they do boneless turkey that you just slice and they do a vegetable selection and a garnish all the trimming selection pack and gorgeous desserts. That's what I would do!!
Good luck with your search sweetie! hugs, Bonnie :) x

Gorgeous card Steph, love the colours you have used. You lucky thing (christmas lunch). I enjoy cooking but for some unknown reason I think that christmas lunch takes a lot more work to cook than any other meal, but I do enjoy eating it and then having a sit and seeing if there's a good film on the telly to watch (with mum sleeping in the chair snoring lol she'd kill me if she saw that)
